      Well the alternator swap was a successful 4 hour learning experience!

      Got her in & the belt was pretty easy thanks to your explanation & diagram @shifty` so thanks for that.

      I'm in the middle of the new alt breaking in process, & to my dismay I'm still seeing the voltage meter fluctuating though, although not as severe.

      I remember the meter staying dead nuts just below center before my battery & alternator took a shit :confused:
