      Note that the two outer wires of this connector that wasn't being used is gone. the outer most wires are the (+ and 0v) Wires. I say 0v because when you dim the dash lights it goes from 0v to 3v to 5.5v to 7v, to 9.3v I don't fully understand why that causes it to dim but those are the two wires Just for the Button LED, NOT the Gate Release. Then you put the wire you splice from the Tailgate Release Button run it through the switch (where it doesn't run into any power) and goes to ground (frame) when the button is pressed. I modified my switch to become a momentary instead of a toggle. For the polarity use a multimeter two verify. If you're unsure of the 0v wire, hit the dimmer switch a few times, it should cycle through low voltages each time you press the dimmer.
