      This is a rave off-road button I modified. I used acetone to remove the painted top surface of the button so it was all white transparent plastic. Then I designed and 3D printed a thin Skin that I glued ontop with High Strength CA Glue. I tried to wet sand it with 2000 grit to make it look as smooth as possible, Best I could do. And I modified the button from toggle to momentary by opening up the button case, opening up the switch mechanism and broke off a guide post stand off that keeps it locked. NOTE: If you attempt this too, there are parts in the button mechanism that are the size of the tip of a toothpick and it's under slight spring tension. If you lose a piece its going to be the part responsible for making electrical contact.
