I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Saw it this morning for my 23 Pro, then it disappeared from app after going back. Thanks toyota.

Man, so glad this finally got support and documentable action from Toyota corporate. I had this on my original 2022 TRD Pro that was replaced at 15k miles with my 2023 Pro, and I’m seeing the same on my 2023 at around 5k miles now. Great to hear they plan to fix it.

Got this done today posting alignment specs . Might be in my head but seems the truck takes bumps better.

Wow, I just replaced my tires at 25K miles because of the wear. This would have been great to know a month ago. I was holding out for something like this, but I eventually gave up because I didn't think they would do anything. Maybe at least I can go in for the free alignment.

Just had my ‘23 in for its first 5000 mile service. Toyota is replacing all 4 tires and realigning the truck to the new specs. They are replacing the stock Wildpeaks with real Wildpeaks. I did have the truck realigned at 1400 miles on Toyota’s dime but the damage was already done. I tried for 295’s but no dice…

Did 5k service and they swapped in 2 new front tires. I asked about the rears and they said the thread difference wasn’t enough or something. Didn’t see the 3 peaks symbol; only M+S so it makes me wonder why the hell the dealer has the factory tires unless provided by Toyota instead of the retail ones.

You are able to purchase the P-Rated 285/65R18 from any tire retailer, it is not something that is only available to Toyota dealers…

So one is a OE-spec while the other is the traditional Falken spec…

So not sure what you’re attempting to say, but the recall has very specific language in it about what tire to utilize…

When I had my truck in for oil change and tire rotation they did the alignment, again. The tire wear on the outside edge has been the biggest PITA with this truck. Wildpeak RT tires have worn better than stock but still can see feathering on edge, hopefully its right this time...

Got my tire alignment hopefully fixed under this TSB when my truck was in for an unrelated repair. At 6k miles they said they see tire wear at the outside edge but it didn’t meet their requirements for replacement. I suppose I could have waited another few months to bring it up, but looking forward to different tires once the stock Mildpeaks wear out anyway. We’ll see how this new alignment does on the wear issue.

The paperwork I got states that if you already took care of the issue on your own dime, that you can get reimbursed by Toyota if you have the paperwork regarding the repair(s). You would need to submit on Toyota owner portal website or you can fax the request and required documentation to them.

Don’t get too excited. I’ve been bringing this to their attention since I bought my tundra. They have it notated in their system that my tires have “excessive wear due to alignment issues”. They’ve had my truck since January 5th because of the gas line recall and refuse to replace the tires because I “drive like an asshole” and “just want free shit”. Yes. Those are exact quotes from the dealership. lol. You can see wires.

This Limited Service Campaign is specific to the TRD Pro trim...

If you'd like to discuss excessive tire wear on a different trim, please start a new thread...

    Thanks!

Sounds like you need to talk to Toyota corporate, or at least the manager/owner of the dealership regarding your service advisors attitude and mannerism.

Unless, of course, you said choice things to them to prompt that kind of response.

Ya, I've submitted everything. I've got my fingers crossed if they actually reimburse me though.

In fairness I have a TRD Sport. Not a limited or pro or hv. No choice words were said from me. I simply asked for the sales manager to talk to the service manager. 5 times. Once those comments were made, I pushed up the chain of command and emailed the GM. And I was told to bring my “pos to the service manager”. Lol.

My truck a 2023 Tundra TRD Pro is affected by this recall, but Toyota is telling me they will only replace 2 tires in lieu of 4. Currently, I have 16k miles on the tires with all 4 tires affected by this recall since they have been rotated every 5k. The 2 tires they are replacing are at 3/32 while the other 2 that they are refusing are 4/32. This seems nuts to me that they are only willing to replace 2 of the tires when they are admitting that this issue has worn all 4 tires. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to proceed?

I have tried this a few times... they keep referring me back to the dealership and then the dealership refers me back to brand engagement. The dealership says they agree that I should get all 4 tires replaced and blames Toyota. Brand Engagement sends me back to the dealership because they say they have no authority in making the call to replace.

Put the "better" tires on the front, drive for 500 more miles. Go to a different dealership like it's a new issue.

I received a response denying my reimbursement.

"Regrettably, the repair performed on your vehicle does not meet the criteria for reimbursement under the specific program Additionally, your concern is not eligible for reimbursement under any other program offered by TMS at this time."

Not sure how this is possible when I have prior service paperwork stating the tires needed replaced and were not in stock. I can only think of 2 reasons they denied the claim. One, I got a size bigger tire (still Wildpeaks). Or two, I replaced the tires 2 weeks before the LSB came out. I intend on calling to find out.

Are they balancing the tires when they're replacing? Guessing for their free rotations they are not...but seems like they would have to when putting on new tires?

Since the 1794 Limited Edition is getting the TRD pro suspension, will these issues with the tires effect them as well?

While the suspension is the same, the wheels and tires are not...only time will tell...

Toyota has since corrected the alignment specs, so it should be just fine...
