This is my dilemma... I'd like this tire (or the similar Continental) in this size (275/70-18, which do fit 7.5" rims) in a p-metric, but they only make Load Range E. Being Michelins and with the proven tread pattern they might still drive quiet and not be to firm. Does anyone here have these?

Like this? I’m at 15.5 mpg and my platinum is a work horse hauling around 800-1500# daily.

How do they feel compared to the stockers? Not too much stiffer?

The last tire that I was on for a year was p rate GO15 so i can’t say. But from 285/70/17 35 off set to brand new 275/70/18 I can say the yoko has better wet traction. Could be the size and wheel comb but that’s how I feel and experience with new set up.

No lift, no rub, no cutting/trimming.
You could also try 305/70R18 @JRM6868

I think I'm going with the 295/70/18 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 34.5 O.D. x 11.7 Width. They are going to test fit them at full lock to verify no rub before they put all 4 on. Based on what everyone said these should fit no rubbing. Thanks everyone.

Sorry for the resurrection of this thread but just got a 2017 crew limited 4x4 (trd I think) anyway trying to decide between the 285/70/r18 or the 285/75/r18 (stock rims for now) and a 5100 small leveling kit. I noticed there’s a 10lb difference in the 2 sizes for the Nitto’s. Any thoughts on choosing one over the other?
BTW the truck is kinda stiff right now in my opinion or maybe I’m not used to it ( coming off a 2005 DC 4x4).

You're in the third gen area of the forum....so likely won't have many comments that would apply to your situation with you having a second gen.

Just curious, did you ever get any rubbing since having this tire set up, even at full lock or with any articulation? It’s what I’m hoping to do when I get new rubber, keep stock 18 in rims just upsize the rubber a bit.
    Tks

If you have a TRD Off Road and put TRD Pro wheels on it a 285/70/18 which is an honest 34" tire will fit no rubbing cutting tucking or trimming...the key is 47mm offset vs 60mm and 8.5 width vs 7.5 or 8. This gives you just enough extra track width and is a better fit for any 285 tire. The stock tires are right at 32.5" wide 265/60/20 TRD or 265/70/18 TRD or 285/65/18 Pro. 285/70/18 is available in lighter weigh off roady sizes so your ride and gas mileage take less of hit. The TRD Pro truck has just over an inch of factory lift, enabling 35" tires to fit without mods.

It must be close as I have 295/70r18 and it’s close. No rubbing but pretty close. The 285/75r18 is a little taller. It’s a nice option and I may go with it next time around. But that’ll be years away.
