Just got an email saying here's the invoice for the 2nd order on 4/19, I guess that means it is going through and shipping soon?
1st order (the wrong one) will be here today before dark.

Yeap, you should get a Fedex tracking number shortly, but with your luck I predict something else will happen LOL

When I placed my order, on Monday, April 15, I received an "Order Confirmation" email right away. A hour or so later, I received an "Invoice" email. I took it that the first was confirming I placed an order, and the 2nd that they had accepted the order? I've not received another email since, but I did call them on the 19th and was told the rear shock bushings, on the same order, were back ordered (ETA 23rd, or so). AFAIK, nothing has shipped yet.

Edit: they did charge my CC on the 15th.

My new order has shipped and if shipping time is anything like the last one, should be 4 days, so next Monday or Tuesday to Houston, TX.
As a reference for others that are buying....

Is everyone using the 1/4x20x1 1/2” bolt and 1/4x20 U nut or are using the M6-1.0 hardware. I just picked up both options today and will return what I don’t use. Thinking I’ll use the metric hardware.

I'm shopping now for a 2018 to 2021 Tundra. I'm accustomed to a grab handle on our vintage Ram diesel truck, so I am adding finding and installing a driver's side grab handle onto my list of To Do's for whatever Tundra I buy.

Our 2004 Ram had an OEM grab handle, but it had a habit of coming apart, so I had to apply one of several possible fixes that Ram owners came up with for a solid and safe upgrade to the attachment of the grab handle to the A pillar!

Refer to post #187 & 188, part number is from Lowes, cause I had a harder time at HD.
Local hardware store should work, too.
If you can find one that's already installed, great. If not, wait for when they are on sale, which is pretty often. Or, if my error order color is what you want, we can work something out.

Thanks, but I’ve already got all the hardware in standard and metric, but was just wondering what most people are using.

Use what matches the truck. Mixing SAE and metric is lazy and annoying both to you when you mess with it again, and to anyone who comes after IMO.

I echo what @mgrs says, even though they may all match at the end with a tight tolerance of error, mixing SAE and metric is generally asking for trouble down the road.

Oh hell no. My wife threaten a divorce paper if I bring the 3rd gen in, and honestly, does not tickle my heart looking at it.
    So, nope.

On the other hand, earlier this morning in the good day light or lack of (7am....) I took a closer look at the garish and noticed it has a JBL tweeter hole, not sure if this is 3rd gen spec?
I did put it up against the A pillar, this piece is a tad shorter, maybe an inch, and angle is also wrong. No idea if the mounting points are the same, but I am not about to try it out.
My 2nd set is to arrive Tuesday and we will know then....lol

I agree. However, installing a driver's grab handle in a 2014 - 2021 is, by definition, aftermarket. Left-side A pillars have a hole but no threads to accept the lower handle bolt. The easiest solution is to get a u-nut. Local hardware stores will most likely have 1/4" - 20 u-nuts. Metric u-nuts? Maybe, and if they do they will be more costly. I'm thinking expedience, and yes, annoying, but not so much lazy.

That said, I've already M6 and M8 u-nuts in my stash, and 40mm bolts, so I'm set. Whatever the top handle bolt is I'll match the lower to it.

You had think that with this extra cut-out and piece to put in, it would have been same if not a tad more expensive.
    Nope, cheaper....

UPS delivered mine this morning with a box that was smashed up but the contents were packed well with styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap so no damage was present.

Install was very easy and straight forward.
I did use the metric hardware, (M6 U nut or speed nut as Advanced Auto calls it and the M6-1.00x30 bolt and washer from Lowe’s) Advanced Auto had the bolts and washers but Lowe’s is cheaper.

The only disadvantage of adding this grab handle is, my wife will think she can drive the truck now

I took mine to a huge, empty parking lot a few weeks back. She did pretty good, but she prefers her Kia EV, so I ain't skeerd.

We bought a 23 GX460 last June so she drives that Daily. She’s only drove the Tundra once I think. She has a heavier foot than I do, and the Tundra gets up to speed much faster than the GX.

What you'll probably find is a tapered JIS M6x1.0x25 with 10mm head and captive washer. Finding a JIS bolt at a local hardware store will be difficult.

IMG_0408.jpg IMG_0407.jpg All these recent posts re-motivated me to finally do this. As luck would have it, a local 2008 part-out finally popped up on marketplace this week. $28.21 (including hardware) and 15 minutes and this long overdue mod is complete! Thanks for the ‘push’
