Probably because it was a a double cab and not a crewmax. I’ve seen them here in US with double cabs and they also have the small sliding window in the back. Electric powered

Yup, the power difference had me sway more towards an SR5 but the lack of brake controller (and I guess no tow mode) sealed the deal. Yes, I know an SR would have still been cheaper if I added those things myself, but at the end of the day it would still have 30+ less HP (that I probably wouldn't have noticed other than having it in the back of my mind). I had several other Tundras, and my last one before the Gen 3 was a Gen 2.5 SR....Great bang for the buck with the same power, tow package, and etc....was disappointment that they went a different route for Gen 3, but I can understand it from Toyota's point of view if the previous Gen SR's were stealing a lot of the SR5 sales.

For me it was the size of the fuel tank. Here in Canada we had to get an SR5 or higher trim in order to get the ‘large’ tank.
The integrated brake controller and Tow Haul + mode were bonuses.
Of course I’ve come to thoroughly enjoy all the perks that came with our Canadian SR5 TRD Sport 4X4 DC.

There was someone here who upgraded to the larger tank. Wonder if he was able to get the fuel gauge to self calibrate. Can’t find the thread anymore

IIRC in the US you were able to purchase a SR5 that still had the small fuel tank, so not universal.
