The driver-side CV on my 14 DC started slinging grease at 118k due to a small hole in the inner boot. Did not have the time to wait for a factory CV shaft so installed a NAPA HD. The only issue is the hole in the inner boot. Is it worth it to rebuild/reboot it, if so, is there a go-to shop that makes it worth it?

    Thanks

Always reboot. Non oem axles are no good

FWIW, NAPA often carries OEM rebuilt units. I've bought a few and had good success. Just don't buy their aftermarket/new. You can inspect before you buy or return if you somehow receive non-OEM. I've always purchased in person so I can inspect.

Im on a Icon ~3" lift with diff drop spacers. I offroad quite a bit...

They look nice, I though I had heard NOT to go with anything aftermarket... Im guessing those are an exception?

I wouldn't really call them aftermarket. They only rebuild OEM axles with different boots. I know that Sherpa Motorsports runs them on their Ultra 4 4Runner

Also I think if you read their core deposit form, they won't even take aftermarket axles for rebuild.

All comes in the kit, both inner outer boots, clamps, snap ring for tripod spider, and grease.

If they are the Cardone ones from NAPA, they probably won't last. I put some on my stock 08 4Runner and it went a year and a half then the boots split. They had a lifetime warranty, but not a job I want to do every year. I got rebuilt ones from Toyota. Not sure if they have them for the Tundras.
