I did yellow at the top as that’s how Toyota did it on the 40th anniversary 4Runner.

Just picked it up, dealer still owes me a cover and side steps.

 

24 TRD Lift

 

Two questions: 1. Did the Sonic amp make a difference? 2. How does your bed step look? My wife bought me one for Christmas. It works really well, it just doesn’t tuck under the bumper like I think it should!

Have the JBL and it really woke up the system.Sounds more crisp and clear and now I don’t have to crank the volume to 55.Also a super simple plug and play install.
As for the bed step it’s not the most aesthetically pleasing thing to look at but I need the functionality.

 

Are those 295/70/18"'s? Those kind of look like 20" rims off a platinum, but they look slightly different.. Or did Toyota just black out the SR5 18" rims for the 2024's? I have a set of 18" TRD pro wheels I found second hand, but if the SR5's have a slightly blacked out 18" rim now I might have to try and find a set of those and swap them out and and sell the pro rims. If that is the style of rim on the SR5's now instead of the silver rims I like it.

 

I like those wheels too. Looks like my plat wheels but in 18s which I think look better with more rubber. I like how they almost color match to the MGM.

 

Here’s a shot after I swapped the wheels from Hostile to Fuels. The Fuels are black with tinted black faces. I was worried it would clash with MGM but it actually looks amazing with it!!

 

Picked her up just in time for new years. Almost settled for a Limited last year, but when the news came out that the Platinum's were available with the TRD package in 2024, I knew it was going to be my perfect truck. First thing on the list is new tires, I really like the stock rims.

I have since added some rock sliders and a bed cover. Planning on a new front bumper next.

Think I'm going to break down and install some fender flares. Please share where these were sourced if you don't mind.

 

Looks like your driveway is slanted just out side the garage so you don't scrape the shark fin antenna. Truck is looking good!

 

I put them on because my tires have a bit more poke than I was expecting and I dont want to mess up my paint. I think I might have to take them back off when I put a different bumper on.. Not sure how that is going to work out.

They are just these rough country flares off Amazon. I think most people color match them but I just left em the way the are:

Thx! The fin misses the door by about a half an inch. It was the thing I was most worried about when I put on the lift/tires. It is slanted slightly but I think I would have still been ok. I do worry about making sure all the snow is shoveled outside the garage before pulling out/in though.

24' Platinum. Added an RSI Smartcap. Next step will be a leveling kit and swapping wheels and tires for 17's or 18's once I replenish the piggy bank...

 

Im usually not a fan of campers or other rear caps but this one is actually pretty dope !
