    Hello,

I have a loud popping sound when turning left and applying brakes. I would guess the pads are moving in the caliber but all the hardware and springs are there. Only has 13K miles on it. Anyone else have a noise?

    Thanks

I also have the popping sound I think its the spring, 2021 tundra and does it when I hit a small pump while turning in my 2020 tacoma, sound on mine is the coil spring slipping under load in its seat.

I think my pads are moving in the caliper because I have a slight click when applying the brakes especially if I reverse direction of the wheel. ie backing up the going forward and vise versa. I need to get in there more and look at it. I also have a spring sounding noise when applying the break sometimes usually if it’s a cold day. Not sure what this could be either.

a loose caliper bracket? caliper bolt? could also cause a click.

Thanks! I’ll check this again. I think I checked it once but doesn’t hurt to look again. When I had the wheel off I’d rotated the hub forward and back and I would hear and feel the click. There was no visible movement but it felt like the pads were possibly shifting slightly.

Mine is the result of the outer disc brake pad sliding and hitting the caliper. Everything is in place, springs, pins etc. Funny we all don't have the noise. In the end it is not detrimental just a noise..... Be nice not to have noise but it is what it is.
