2024 Tundra TRD Pro

I have a 2024 tundra Trd pro that I just purchased to tow my 5000 pound RV. I do have a swaybar and leveling kit and it still seems to squat a little bit and the front end seems to be a little Squirrley I was wondering if anybody knew if that could be torqued down. Or what I could do to help.

 

A weight distribution hitch system and sway control of some kind, such as friction sway bar.

 

I do have a weight distribution swaybar. I was wondering if there’s anyway to torque down the front end at all?

 

The pro is relatively level from the factory. Has a different spring rate and rebound tuning for smoothing off-road bumps. Not the best tow setup. You will 100% squat when adding weight to the rear. The standard suspension setups typically have 2” or so taller rear ride height. When loaded they squat closer to level. WDH is a must to redistribute weight to the front. Make sure it is dialed in correctly. This can be done crudely by measuring hub to fender height in the front before and after hooking the trailer up. The front should stay level, or possibly compress slightly. More accurate method is to use scales and weigh the front axle before and after looking for the weight to stay the same or increase slightly. Unfortunately the PRO is just not the best for towing heavy when it comes to squat.

 

That’s what the weight distribution is supposed to do, as long as the trailer is also properly loaded.
