Headliner patches

Curious to if anyone has fit Velcro to their headliner to stick patches to? Patches stuck to the headliner in my Tacoma. And now I have a bunch of patches I can’t fit on my plate carrier with no decent place to stick them.

If there’s not much of an option for the headliner route, are there any ideas for a patch wall or maybe something in the lid of my tool box or something? Need some ideas. Won’t be able to put the full collection up anyway having the moonroof. But I’d like to slap a few up if possible

 

As a person who grew up with a father who would put a beating down if you so much as touched the headliner with your head getting into the truck, the whole velcro idea gives me ptsd

You can get them to stick to the headliner if you work them in nice and deep-like…


Someday I hope to catch up with @ToyoMafia but I don’t think it’ll happen.

I love patches, just not on the headliner. Ignore Winnie the Pooh, I hate that patch and need to take it off hahaha.

 

Modern Toyota headliners don’t quite have enough nap to them to hold Velcro really well, but if you smash them into eachother, they’ll hold 95% of the time (they fall occasionally).

Where did you get these?

 

The gnome is from 5.11, it’s been years upon years that I’ve had the little French bulldog. Let me track down where I got it from and I’ll pass along the info as soon as I find it. Worst case scenario I wouldn’t mind sending him your way so he could have a new home.

I have found that it depends on the type or style of hooks. I have some that will stick and some that won't.

 

I had found something on line where they built a workbench solely using 2x4s and so I built one, stained it, laid the patches on top and had a piece of plexiglass cut to cover em all.
