I'm sure this has been addressed ad nauseum, but could use some advice that I can't find. Had a leveling kit installed yesterday by a shop that has done multiple kits for us in the past (1st one on a newer Tundra. This truck is a previous Canadian vehicle, but now in the U.S. with conversion to miles, etc) After the kit was installed, we now have warning messages concerning pre-collision system malfunction, braking power low, and parking support brake malfunction. My question is, can we simply remove the leveling spacers and take the truck back to original specs or does it have to go to a Toyota dealer to have the system reset? I understand the problem is changing the sensor/camera angles, so the other question is, can we raise the back slightly to put the angle back to the "original" rake? I'm also concerned whether or not a previous Canadian truck can "communicate" with U.S. software to reset the system. Sure appreciate any help.

The TSS or whatever the system is now called requires a re-calibration for the new ride height. Dealer and some other shops should be able to perform.

KNABORES....thx for the response, but do you happen to know if we simply remove the leveling kit and take it back to factory specs, will the system reset itself or does something still have to happen at the dealer end?

The software is no different across locales...all uses Techstream/GTS+...and it's all based on VIN...

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for over 30 minutes to see if the codes will clear?

I disconnected the battery last night for a couple hrs and then started the truck. All warning stuff still on. Any idea if the system will reset itself if the truck is put back to factory suspension specs?

I’m not sure on that. It threw it out of what when it was adjusted, so even if u did put it back to stock, it may still need to be re-calibrated.

Do you want it back to factory? If not, just get it recalibrated.

I did a 1.75" level on mine and had no issues with any sensors. Then I changed my grille to the heritage style and which had me play with the front camera and still issues.

Then I put a 1" Westcott lift in the rear and still no issues.

I haven't had to touch the sensors or go to the dealership for any of this.

Also did the RC 1.75 on my 23' 1794 with zero issues. What lift did you use? Doubt it matters, only curious

Just an update. Took the truck into the local Toyota store. They got it in today and recalibrated the system to the tune of $200. No more warning lights, so lesson learned. Probably shoulda gone with the 1.75" leveling kit rather than the 2 incher. Thanks for your help in your posts.
